I've had the pleasure of working with Shani as her Career Advisor throughout her time at UW-Whitewater. The growth and confidence Shani has demonstrated have been quite impressive, and this is just one example of her desire to grow personally and professionally in her field. Shani is incredibly passionate about the world of radio, broadcasting, and social media, and I have witnessed her progress in securing numerous internships and on-campus experiential learning opportunities, including serving as an on-air host for the UWW campus radio station, 91.7 The Edge. Shani is eager and ready to take her talents to the next level and work with others in the professional world who share her passions in these areas. Her ingenuity would be a total asset to the media world - she is more than ready to launch into the media industry with her ideas, creativity, and positive attitude!

Shani was a student in three of my classes at Columbia College Chicago. She was a straight "A" student in all three and is, in my opinion, an eminently qualified individual.

Shani is knowledgeable, yet eager and willing to learn. She is organized and prepared, but can roll with whatever is thrown at her. She can work collegially within a group and possesses the discipline and motivation to accomplish what needs to be done independently. She is always prepared for whatever may happen, and her positive attitude and personality define her work.

Shani displayed talent in all facets of the process as her team in Radio Drama class created a piece that they developed from an initial idea to a finished sound file, which included plotting, character development, writing, casting, directing, recording, and post-production (weaving together voice, music, and sound effects). It was gathered with seven other audio dramas into a solid program called "Chatterbox Stories," which was Shani's title, chosen by her classmates to tag their show. It was broadcast on WCRX-FM, Chicago.

In my Radio Interviewing class, Shani shone as a guest booker and interviewer, working with interviewees who were live in the studio, on the phone, or recorded remotely. The class eventually created a show called "Stuck in Your Stereo," consisting of 18 half-hour segments. It was broadcast on WCRX-FM in Chicago and offered to Pacifica stations, where it was picked up. There were even requests for an additional series!

It's a pleasure to know Shani, and I look forward to watching her carve a path to success.
